Tim Hobart

This gentleman just absolutely had that je ne sais quoi. He was strolling up Sloane Street looking like a cross between Indiana Jones and Ian McKellen (who I also have a soft spot for since seeing him in Waiting for Godot) and we had a nice chat. What’s more, I was delighted to discover he’s half Welsh! I suspect he might be this Tim Hobart (he just looks like he could be an artist, don’t you think?) but of course he was too modest to mention it. The fishing jacket is from Paris.

  1. I know this gentleman very well and he is certainly a very true
“gentiluomo”. When he is in Italy painting, everyone knows him as
    “The Count”.
“The Count” is accompanied by ” La Contessa” who is absolutely
    the perfect Lady…
H is also a very accomplished artist.
    Uomo Perfetto!

  2. Having known Tim for absolutely years, I can only add here en passant that he is one of the most stylish and individual of men that I have ever come across. He has style in spades.
He is also extremely witty, with at times a rather ribald and raffish sense of humour.
Tim has been ever thus, and his natural air of detachment coupled with a certain diffidence merely adds to his substance.
He personifies the colour, dash and erudition of the true art dealer.
