Little bundles like this were being sold in a shop called The Cross in Yaletown, Vancouver. Just offcuts of material, but they could be used to make small simple purses, or as backing framing material, or to make placemats, coasters, a table runner or to layer for an interesting tray liner… I just thought it was a lovely idea to gather randomly sized offcuts of different textured and patterned fabrics (these were ones from the Designers Guild in London, funnily enough) in colours that tone. Something to give as a little gift to anyone who’s into sewing or crafts as am sure they would, like me, just like them and enjoy deliberating over what to do with them!
