Blogroll

The Man Repeller
My favourite of all. Like an updated Carrie Bradshaw but (even) more genuine, more endearing, cuter, smarter and funnier.

Kingdom of Style
Love love love everything about this stylish, Glasgow based blog.

Garance Dore
There’s a reason she’s so famous. And it’s not because she’s The Sartorialist’s girlfriend. She seems genuine and unpretentious, the type of girl that you’d like to have as a mate. The blog’s getting a bit grand scale now, and it’s clear that there’s now a team onboard, but it’s still excellent, her voice is still the overriding one – very natural, Garance (for that’s how we all know her) is light, fun, smart, interesting, funny, irreverent and not at all pretentious.

The Londoner
This girl, despite hailing from Chelsea, comes across as really friendly, genuine, and generous. I love reading her blog as it’s so accessible and often reviews places in London. Good recipes, shopping tips, travel diaries, all sorts really.

Relentless Laundry
This blog had to work extra hard to reel me in as ‘mummy blogs’ don’t generally appeal to me. But despite not yet having chilldren, it makes me laugh out loud. And I imagine if you do have kids, it’s even funnier! A recipe is incorporated into most posts too, which is a nice / useful touch.

Sea of Shoes
Song of style
Am not a huge fan of ‘my daily style’ type blogs – too much ego and often too little style. That said, it’s only fair I think when you’re blogging about style to let readers see how you translate your understanding of style into reality. The above 2 blogs I find have some consistently interesting outfits and are both slick, seasoned professionals in the art of blogging.

Cupcakes and Cashmere
Slightly on the ‘pink’ side for me BUT I have to give credit where it’s due, this blogger has been going for ages (unlike us late starters) and her blog was one of the ones that I happened to first come across which really inspired me – largely because of its (rare) simplicity. Her style is not my style, but she comes across as a genuine, lovely, modest girl with a passion for clothes, home décor and craft projects (so in all those things, a girl after my own heart).  Oh, and flea markets. Really worth checking out.

Face Hunter / Yvan Rodic
Big fan.

The Sartorialist
Of course.

Frassy
I like her style. And I really like her words.
“Nights that burned like fire, simmered down and then dripped into dawn. We laughed so hard, oh we laughed. But we didn’t cry – that was back then, not now. Now we can be anything and everything we want or nothing at all. Because those nights, they were ours – best girls, spurring each other on, making trouble. Weekends in Paris, damn they shine bright after midnight – anything can happen; anything, everything or nothing at all.”
