A hat worn well is a short cut to style.

Lovely skin tone, a devil-may-care vibe and some nice tattoos, I snapped this lady in Yaletown, Vancouver and am inspired to get my hair blonded again and wear a bit of subtle lippie.

This girl was super cute – very embarassed about being photographed but I managed to get this one shot where she wasn’t cringeing!

Emma from The Cross in Vancouver again. She feminises trouser wearing by using a soft colour palette and fine textures and muted, blended (as opposed to contrasting) colours. A fine wool beanie, a sequinned top, print matt shoes, subtle jewellery and a matching ribbon in her hair – it all adds up well.

This girl, originally from Costa Rica, was oozing personality and positivity, she was super nice, confident, quick to laughter, enthusiastic and crazy friendly (even more so than the rest of the Vancouverites I came across, which is saying something). It didn’t surprise me when she told me she’s a yoga teacher. I wish she lived in London so I could get a hit of her good vibe every week!

This girl was lovely, she reminded me somehow of Kate Hudson in Almost Famous.

Another example of laid back Vancouver style… stylish dog too!
